GREG AND THE DIET OF CHAMPIONS

Moderated by Mario Salvini, journalist at La Gazzetta dello Sport

We draw inspiration from the experiences of an Olympic and world champion, in the shape of swimmer Gregorio Paltrinieri, to discuss diet for competitive sport. What and how much to eat just before a race and the schedule to respect to optimise performance. How to eat between two events in quick succession, during extensive training periods, and after an event to aid recovery. We will analyse all of that not only from the perspective of a professional but also through the eyes of amateur and casual athletes. The talk will feature the qualified opinion of Maurizio Casasco, president of the Italian Sports Medicine Federation, and Alberto Paoli, a professor of sporting theory and practice at the University of Padova, an expert on nutrition, as well as a consultant for a number of international athletes.
