The Depero Room

Once the headquarters of the Provincial and Regional Councils this splendid hall, located inside the Palace of the Autonomous Province of Trento, formerly the Imperial Hotel Trento, takes its name from the artist, Fortunato Depero, who designed, furnished and decorated it entirely between 1953 and 1956. He was actually born in Rovereto, Trentino‘s second biggest city, and his artistic styles ranged from futurism, cubism and abstractism, which eventually evolved into his very own style.

On the ceiling and walls of this large room, a colourful and very original depiction of the social, cultural and political history of Trentino can be admired.
