Claudio Domenicali was born in Bentivoglio on 3 November 1965 and has been CEO of Ducati since 2013. After obtaining a degree in Engineering from the University of Bologna, he joined Ducati as Project Leader in 1991. In 1997 he was appointed Ducati’s deputy technical manager and in 1999 became CEO of the newly formed Ducati Corse department. Six years later, he was placed in charge of Research and Development and in 2009 he became General Manager of Product Development and Operations. In 2013 Domenicali replaced Gabriele Del Torchio as CEO of Ducati. He manages all resources employed in strategic planning, development, marketing, design and product quality. He was the man behind the construction of the Hypermotard, 1098, Multistrada, Diavel and Panigale.
