Marco Galiazzo

Born in 1983, Padova (PD) Galiazzo is an archery legend. At Athens 2004 he became the first and only Italian to win an individual Olympic gold medal, won a team gold medal at London 2012 and also won team silver at Beijing 2008. Rio 2016 was his fourth consecutive Olympic Games. He was ranked world number one in 2006, won the 2009 World Cup in Copenhagen, the 2017 World Championships in Mexico and has also won the European Championships. This season he finished ninth in the individual event at the World Championships and won a team bronze at the European Games. Galiazzo has also won four Italian Targa titles.
