Maurizio Casasco

Maurizio Casasco was born in Rivanazzano Terme, near Pavia, in 1954. He graduated in Medicine before specialising in Sports Medicine. Casasco has held numerous institutional positions. He is currently president and CEO of a Brescia-based company working in the instrumental diagnostics industry, president of the Italian Sports Medicine Federation, vice-president of CEA-PME (European Confederation of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises), a member of CONI’s National Council and vice-president of the European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations’ Executive Board. From 2011 to 2014 he was in charge of Apindustria Brescia, an association representing approximately 1000 companies. He was elected president of CONFAPI (Italian Confederation of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises) on 26 July 2012 and re-elected for the third time on 25 October 2018. His motto is “Never be afraid to change.”
