Myriam Sylla

Born in Palermo on 8 January 1995, the spiker of Ivorian descent made her debut for the Italian national team on 23 May 2015 in Italy 3-0 China in Ravenna. Sylla helped Italy finish second at the 2017 World Grand Prix and won a silver medal at the 2018 World Cup in Japan, where he was named Best Outside Spiker. She also took part in the 2016 Rio Olympics. After playing for Villa Cortese and Bergamo, Miriam joined Conegliano last season and became one of their key players, winning a Super Cup (2018) and a Scudetto (2019). She previously won the Coppa Italia in 2016 with Bergamo. At youth level Sylla won a bronze medal at the Junior European Volleyball Championship in 2012.
