Predrag Danilovic

Predrag Danilovic, also known as Sasha, is Serbian but was born in Sarajevo (now Bosnia) on 26 February 1970. Danilovic began his basketball career at KK Partizan in Belgrade, winning the EuroLeague in 1991/92. He joined Virtus Bologna in 1992, leading the team to three straight league titles. Danilovic moved across the pond to the NBA in 1996, playing for Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks over the course of two seasons in the USA before returning to Virtus Bologna for another three-year stint. The Serb won another Italian league title during his second spell in Bologna, bringing his total up to four, as well as helping Virtus to win their first-ever EuroLeague title in 1997/98. Danilovic won four EuroBasket titles with the Yugoslav national team, in addition to picking up the silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. After retiring from basketball at the age of just 30, Danilovic returned to Belgrade where he became president of KK Partizan. He is currently the president of the Serbian Basketball Association.
