Stefano Massini is the most prolific Italian playwrite ever, with over 2,000 performances in theatres from Broadway to London’s West End. His work has been translated in 24 languages and a version of his “Lehman Trilogy” has been directed by Oscar winner Sam Mendes. In 2015, after the success of “Lehman Trilogy”, directed by Luca Ronconi, he was appointed artistic consultant of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. His novel, “Qualcosa sui Lehman” [Something about the Lehmans], was one of the most highly acclaimed books of recent years, winning the Campiello, SuperMondello, Prix Médicis and Prix Meilleur Livre Étranger awards, among others. Massini writes for the La Repubblica newspaper and is a regular on La7’s “Piazzapulita” programme.
